Richard Parker, DO, FAOASM

Dr. Parker completed our Sports Medicine Fellowship Program in 1987. He graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. Dr. Parker is the Director of our Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and is a past president of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. He was an All-American swimmer at Springfield College and is Team Physician for San Diego State University Athletics. Dr. Parker was voted among America's best Family Medicine doctors by the Consumers' Research Council of America in 2008.


Jeffrey Anthony, DO, FAAFP, FAOASM
Dr. Anthony joined our practice in 1987 and is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. He is a Team Physician for the US Olympic Training Center, San Diego Christian College and Santa Fe Christian High School. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSD School of Medicine, adjunct professor at SDSU, and the primary care physician for the Alvarado Spine Institute. He has served on many boards, including the Governor's Board for Alvarado Hospital and Medical Center, and the San Diego Academy of Family Practice.  Dr. Anthony was voted among America's best Family Medicine doctors by the Consumers' Research Council of America in 2008.


Lee Ralph, MD

Dr. Ralph joined San Diego Sports Medicine after serving as a family physician at UCSD’s Family Practice and Preventive Medicine Department. He graduated from Amherst College and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Ralph is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSD School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. Dr. Ralph is the  past president of the San Diego Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Ralph has been voted among San Diego "Top Doctors" in Family Medicine for the past four years and in 2008 and 2009 he was also voted as a "Top Doctor" in Sports Medicine.


F. Allen Richburg, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Richburg joined San Diego Sports Medicine after completing our Fellowship Program in Sports Medicine in 1998. He graduated from UCLA Family Practice Residency Program in Santa Monica, CA. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. He is  the Head Team Physician at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista and is a team physician for the San Diego State University Aztecs and the San Diego Cycling Velodrome.  Dr. Richburg is the Medical Director of the San Diego Sports Medicine Skin Wellness Department and the Carmel Valley office.

 

Michelle Look, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Look joined San Diego Sports Medicine in 2001 after completing our fellowship program. She graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Look is the National Medical Director for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure 3 Day walk. She served as the team physician for the United States 2008 Paralympic Equestrian, Road Cycling, and Wheelchair Fencing teams in Beijing, China. She is currently a staff physician for the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista and the OMBAC Rugby team.  She is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. Dr. Look has been voted among San Diego "Top Doctors" in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine in 2008 and 2009. Dr. Look has been chosen to be the lead physician at the Whistler High Performance Center for the US Olympic teams at the Vancouver Olympic Games 2010.



Yaroslav "Russ" Pogorelov, M.D.
Dr. Pogorelov joined SDSM in November of 2005 as a primary care physician. He completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at SDSM in July of 2007. He graduated from the Fort Wayne Family Practice Residency program in July of 2005. He was a physician in Russia from 1991-1997 before immigrating to the United States. He is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. He has extensive experience in Urgent Care Medicine.He participates in event and team coverage for San Diego State Athletics, Thunderboat Regatta, Susan Komen Breast Cancer Three-Day and the Rock and Roll Marathon.         



Scott Evans, M.D.
Dr. Evans joined San Diego Sports Medicine in 2008 after completing his fellowship in Sports Medicine at UCLA.  He completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and earned his medical degree from George Washington University. Dr. Evans was the team physician for UCLA football, men's soccer, men's volleyball, and women's golf. Dr. Evans is fluent in Spanish. He is currently the team physician for Francis Parker High School and treats athletes from Grossmont College and San Diego Christian College.



Stephen Rohrer, D.O.
Dr. Rohrer joined San Diego Sports Medicine's Fellowship program in July of 2008. He will be joining SDSM as an associate provider in July of 2009 after completing his fellowship program. Dr. Rohrer completed his family practice residency program at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania in 2008. He has provided medical coverage at the Ironman World Championship, Keystone State Games and the USA Olympic Training Center, Thunderboat Regatta and SDSU Aztec Athletics.


Katie Rusk, PA-C
Katie joined San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center in 1982 after she received her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University. She graduated from Stanford University’s Primary Care Program in 1996 as a Physician's Assistant. She is now Co-Director and Clinical Instructor of the Stanford University Primary Care satellite program in San Diego and she is the Medical Coordinator for the San Diego Firefighter's Regional Wellness Program. Katie provides full spectrum family health care.
